Teaching Material Mapping
A strategic, competence-based ecosystem that bridges identified skills gaps with targeted learning solutions—turning skills analysis into actionable, personalised learning pathways aligned with organisational needs and European competence frameworks.
The Teaching Material Mapping is a strategic component of the CLAIM project, designed as a structured, competence-based ecosystem that connects identified skills gaps with targeted, high-quality learning solutions. Rather than a simple educational catalogue, it transforms skills analysis into actionable learning pathways aligned with real organisational needs and European competence frameworks.
The mapping links learning resources to specific skills and proficiency levels, enabling personalised, progressive, outcome-oriented pathways that respond to learners’ actual starting points and support HR managers in planning development interventions.
How the mapping works
1) From skills analysis to learning intent
Skills gaps identified through self-assessment and competence analysis are translated into clear learning intents: what should improve, at which level, and for whom (individuals or teams).
2) Competence-based resource mapping
Learning resources are directly linked to specific competences and proficiency levels to ensure coherence with the learner’s current profile and to support progressive development paths.
3) A diverse learning ecosystem
The mapping includes resources across multiple languages and formats—digital modules and OER, video lessons and multimedia, podcasts and webinars, case studies and simulations, coaching and blended solutions—ensuring accessibility and inclusiveness.
4) AI-driven integration via TaiLENT
All mapped materials integrate with the TaiLENT platform’s AI-powered recommendation system, automatically suggesting suitable resources based on self-assessment results and skills analysis—supporting timely and personalised recommendations.
5) Quality, ethics, and continuous updates
Resources are selected for reliability, alignment with learning objectives, and respect for intellectual property. The mapping is dynamic and continuously updatable, enabling integration of new resources as needs and markets evolve.
Alignment with European Frameworks
DigComp
EU framework for digital competences, supporting transparent competence definitions and comparability.
GreenComp
Reference for sustainability competences, enabling consistent mapping of green skills and learning outcomes.
EntreComp + Transversal skills
Entrepreneurial capabilities complemented by transversal skills such as communication, collaboration, negotiation, project management, goal orientation, and time management.
Quality and Impact
The mapping process emphasises quality, relevance, and ethical use of educational resources. Materials are carefully selected for reliability, consistency with learning objectives, and respect for intellectual property. The process is continuously updatable to integrate emerging resources.
By bridging skills analysis with lifelong learning, the Teaching Material Mapping equips SMEs and training providers with a structured system supporting informed decision-making, personalised pathways, and long-term workforce resilience—turning training into a strategic, anticipatory process.
- Informed planning for HR development interventions.
