C.L.A.I.M. Analysis Model

An AI-supported framework helping European SMEs anticipate emerging competences, identify skills gaps, and translate them into targeted and personalised training pathways aligned with labour market needs.

From skills gaps to actionable training

The CLAIM Analysis Model is an AI-supported framework developed to help European SMEs address the challenges of the digital and green transitions. Created within the CLAIM project, it provides a structured and proactive approach to identifying skills gaps and transforming them into targeted and personalised training actions.

Built on a skills-driven, future-oriented perspective, the model supports the anticipation of emerging skills, the analysis of current and future competence gaps, and the design of upskilling and reskilling pathways—while promoting lifelong learning within SMEs and VET systems.

Strategic competence areas

💻 Digital Skills

Digital competences supporting technology adoption, data-driven practices, and the capability to operate effectively in increasingly digitised work environments.

🌿 Green Skills

Competences enabling sustainable decision-making, environmental responsibility, and readiness for the green transition across processes, products, and services.

🚀 Entrepreneurial Skills

Entrepreneurial skills (initiative, creativity, value creation) complemented by transversal soft skills such as communication, collaboration, negotiation and project management.

Methodology

Methodologically, the model builds on the Conf4People framework and integrates AI-based tools from the TaiLENT platform. Its core component is an AI-powered skills self-assessment system that uses structured questionnaires to evaluate competence levels. Machine learning algorithms analyse the data to identify skills gaps at individual and organisational level and to automatically recommend relevant learning resources and training pathways. By doing so, the model contributes to building agile, skilled and future-ready organisations.
